This Privacy Policy describes how ZongYun (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the ZongYun mobile application (the “App”) on iOS. We’ve tried to write it in plain language. If anything is unclear, email us and we’ll explain.

1. Information we collect

We aim to collect the minimum amount of information needed to run the App.

Information you provide

• Account details — if you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed password.
• Content you create — data, files, and preferences you save inside the App.
• Support messages — information you send us when you contact support.

Information collected automatically

• Device & diagnostic data — device model, iOS version, language, time zone, and crash reports, used to diagnose problems and improve stability.
• Usage data — anonymized metrics about which features are used, to help us prioritize improvements.

Information we do not collect

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.
• We do not access your photos, contacts, location, microphone, or camera unless you explicitly grant permission through iOS, and only for the feature you invoked.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features.
• Authenticate users and keep accounts secure.
• Respond to your support requests and send important service notifications.
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only in these limited cases:

• Service providers — trusted vendors that help us operate the App (for example, cloud hosting, crash reporting, and email delivery). They are contractually bound to handle your data only on our instructions.
• Legal requirements — when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid government request.
• Business transfers — if ZongYun is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, we will continue to protect your information and notify you before it becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
• With your consent — for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time.

4. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as is necessary to provide the App and for legitimate business or legal purposes. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep it longer by law.

5. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest where applicable, access controls, and regular reviews — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we work hard to keep your data safe.

6. Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Delete your account and associated personal information.
• Export a copy of your data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your information.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You can also manage iOS permissions (notifications, tracking, photos, etc.) at any time from Settings → ZongYun on your device.

7. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Third-party services

The App may contain links to, or interoperate with, third-party services (such as Apple services or sign-in providers). Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.

9. International data transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect international transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top, and for material changes we’ll provide a more prominent notice in the App.
